GENERAL FAQs
-
Pilates is a low-impact exercise method that focuses on strengthening the core muscles, improving flexibility, and enhancing overall body awareness. It involves controlled movements and emphasizes proper alignment and breathing techniques.
-
Pilates is a welcoming exercise method and we have thoughtfully designed different class options to cater to various levels. Please consult your specific studio as the experience policies may vary. We recommend that all clients, regardless of experience, participate in 3 private sessions. These sessions ensure that you are introduced to the fundamental principles and correct form of Pilates, setting a strong foundation for your practice. Our instructors are skilled in providing modifications and variations to accommodate everyone's needs. Please read the class descriptions carefully before enrolling in a class and consider scheduling your private sessions for an optimal Pilates experience.
-
We recommend wearing comfortable workout attire that allows you to move freely. Opt for clothing that provides enough support and allows the instructor to observe your form. It's best to avoid loose or baggy clothing to ensure proper alignment and movement.
Grip socks are required in all classes.
-
You don't need to bring any equipment as we provide all the necessary props and apparatus for the classes. This includes mats, Pilates rings, resistance bands, stability balls, and more. However, if you prefer to bring your own, you're welcome to do so. The studio is not responsible for any equipment left behind.
-
Our Pilates classes last for 50 minutes. However, we may offer specialized classes, workshops, or private sessions that vary in duration. Please inquire at your specific studio to learn more.
-
Pilates can be a great option for rehabilitation and injury prevention; however, it's important to consult with your healthcare provider before starting any exercise program, especially if you have a pre-existing medical condition or are recovering from an injury. Our instructors are trained to provide modifications and adapt exercises to accommodate individual needs, but professional guidance is crucial for your safety.
-
The frequency of your Pilates practice depends on your personal goals, schedule, and overall fitness level. For most individuals, attending 2-3 classes per week can yield significant benefits. Consistency is key to seeing progress and experiencing the full benefits of Pilates.
